I love scary stories. Who doesn’t? From The Twilight Zone to the Insidious series, I’ve enjoyed scary stories since I was a kid.
I lean toward the supernatural genre – ghosts, monsters, specters, spirits, occult – you know, the fun stuff. Similarly, I tend to stay away from gore and slasher tales as they only gross me out.
Writing is pretty neat, right? I’m not a professional writer, nor do I write fiction as a career. It’s purely a creative outlet. Wondering if I could write short fiction, I picked up my mobile and started drafting and writing sometime last year. I found that I liked it, and now look – I’ve written over twenty stories so far and recorded the podcast for each.
Why the Tarot? Have you seen the movie called The Red Violin? I just love the way it weaves in mystery with a Tarot reading. There are 78 cards in the Tarot deck. I figure if I write one story per card, it would be a great undertaking. So far, I’m about a third of the way through.
Also, I’m not by any means a Tarot reader, fortune teller, astrologer, or a psychic. I just use the Tarot to inspire.
I’ve found the Tarot to be pretty interesting – not in a mystic way – but historical and application. Plus, the endless art work is a blast. I write stories for personal enjoyment and send them into the web via this blog and podcasts for you to enjoy. Feel free to send me a message – your feedback is much appreciated.
